These devices allow the web server to remember certain user-related data, such as page display preferences, products of greatest interest to the user, etc.

Cookies subject to regulations and exempted cookies

According to the EU directive, cookies requiring informed user consent include analytics, advertising, and affiliate cookies; technical cookies and those necessary to provide a service expressly requested by the user are exempt.

What types of cookies are there?

Cookies can be categorized into five main groups:

• Analytics cookies: collect information on how the website is used.

• Social cookies: necessary for external social networks.

• Affiliate cookies: track visits originating from other websites with which the site has an affiliate agreement (affiliate companies).

• Advertising cookies and behavioral: these collect information about the user's personal preferences and choices (retargeting).

• Technical and functional cookies: these are strictly necessary for using the website and providing the contracted service.
